Established in 2002, Code Blue (www.codeblue.ie) is Ireland’s largest provider of internationally accredited emergency healthcare training programmes certified by recognised bodies such as the American Heart Association, Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council, Irish Heart Foundation, American College of Emergency Physicians, University of Portsmouth and ACT Health, Australia. Code Blue is managed by our full-time Medical Director, supported by a team of highly experienced emergency care specialists.
A combination of extensive and varied clinical and frontline experience training and working with Hospital Consultants, Doctors, Nurses, Paramedics and other allied healthcare personnel across Ireland, has made it possible for us to develop a highly trained and experienced group of certified emergency care professionals to deliver an on-site medical support service that both meets the best international standard and makes economic sense for the client while also providing a safe environment for the staff and the customers who attend the event.
Code Blue is an approved Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council (PHECC) service provider authorised to implement the 3rd Edition Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPG’s) for Advanced Paramedics, Paramedics and Emergency Medical Technicians.
We are uniquely well placed to ensure excellent communication between leading members of the statutory emergency services and hospitals to create a seamless transition from the medical care received on-site to the admission to the receiving hospital emergency department.
In addition to having several decades of frontline emergency medical care experience between them, Tom Giffney (Managing Director) and Neil Reddy (Medical Director) are accredited ‘Major Incident Medical Management and Support’ (MIMMS) personnel, which is the de facto industry standard in Ireland, the UK, and beyond. Tom, Neil and their professional team will be happy to assist with every stage of your event, from planning and risk assessment to on-site medical cover and post event documentation and records.
