A CPC-accredited course covering the fundamentals of pharmacology in pre-hospital emergency care. Participants will develop a deeper understanding of drug classifications, administration techniques, dosage calculations, and real-world applications to enhance patient safety and clinical decision-making.

Certification & CPD Accreditation

All participants will receive a Codeblue Attendance Certificate as recognition of their attendance. EMTs will receive CPC points relevant to the course duration, as they are the only pre-hospital practitioners required to maintain CPC accreditation. While nurses, other healthcare professionals, and members of the public are welcome to attend, CPC points will only be awarded to EMTs.

Instructor Profile โ€“ Paudge Gibson

Paudge Gibson is an Advanced Paramedic, Clinical Educator, and Emergency Management Specialist with over 20 years of experience in pre-hospital care, education, and competency assurance.

Currently serving in Education & Competency Assurance with the HSE National Ambulance Service, Paudge is also an Adjunct Clinical Lecturer at University College Cork. He has played a key role in developing paramedic education programmes, competency assessments, and national training initiatives.

As an Advanced Paramedic, Paudge has extensive experience in pre-hospital pharmacology, medication administration, and emergency medical interventions. His expertise also includes risk management, major incident response, and critical incident stress management (CISM).

Paudge holds an MSc in Emergency Management, along with multiple postgraduate qualifications in emergency medical science and health professions education. He is also a PHECC Assessor, evaluating qualifications for pre-hospital practitioners.

Passionate about pre-hospital education and evidence-based practice, Paudge ensures his training is practical, relevant, and aligned with the latest industry standards.
