Course Description

Develop your trauma management skills with this practical and scenario-based CPC course, designed specifically for pre-hospital emergency care providers. Delivered by experienced instructors who actively work on the frontline, this session equips participants with the confidence and competence to assess, manage, and treat trauma patients in real-world situations.

This evening session will explore critical aspects of trauma care including mechanism of injury, spinal injury assessment, and the delivery of meaningful interventions during traumatic cardiac arrest. The course fosters peer discussion and case-based learning, offering valuable insights from professionals working at major events and emergency incidents across Ireland.

  • One evening session (2-3 hours)

  • Assessment: This is a Continuous Professional Competency (CPC) session, focused on real-world case-based discussions. No formal written exam

Certification & CPD Accreditation

All participants will receive a Codeblue Attendance Certificate as recognition of their attendance. EMTs will receive CPC points relevant to the course duration, as they are the only pre-hospital practitioners required to maintain CPC accreditation. While nurses, other healthcare professionals, and members of the public are welcome to attend, CPC points will only be awarded to EMTs.
