Basic Life Support (BLS)

Basic Life Support courses prepare healthcare personnel, workers and members of the public to deal with the sudden collapse of a patient, colleague or stranger.

The BLS Heartsaver AED and BLS for Healthcare Providers courses are intensely practical and delivered by front-line healthcare professionals from ED, CCU, ICU, EMS and resuscitation-training, who regularly train and carry out these skills. They are regarded as experts in their field and have a proven ability to teach, CPD/CEU credits available for all courses. These courses are accredited by the Irish Heart Foundation and the American Heart Association.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Advanced Cardiac Life Support courses (ACLS) teach healthcare professionals the knowledge and psychomotor skills to manage acutely ill patients in a variety of settings, both in-and out-of hospital.

The standard 2-day ACLS, and the 4 hour ACLS Heartcode courses are delivered by front-line healthcare professionals from ED, CCU, ICU and resuscitation-training, who regularly train and carry out these skills. They are regarded as experts in their field and have a proven ability to teach, CPD/CEU credits available for all courses. These courses are accredited by the Irish Heart Foundation and the American Heart Association.

Major Incident Medical Management and Support
(MIMMS –the Pre-Hospital Version)

The 2-day Pre-Hospital Major Incident Medical Management and Support (MIMMS) course is aimed at emergency responders who may be involved in the management of a mass gathering emergency (music concerts, sports events etc) or transport incident (train/plane/road accident). The course is suitable for paramedics, nurses, doctors, first-aid responders and event promoters and focuses on how to deliver the medical support needed to multiple casualties. As the only international standard in major incident medical management, the course is taught and the principles are practiced throughout the world, being integrated into civilian and military medical practice.

Our MIMMS courses are led by Mr. Stephen Groves O.B.E. who is the National Head of Emergency Preparedness Resilience and Response (EPRR) for NHS England. Stephen is involved in tier one (ministerial level) and cross government exercises throughout England. He is supported by Irish based Consultants in Emergency Medicine and experienced operational staff from the Irish emergency services, CPD/CEU credits available for all courses.The course is accredited by the Advanced Life Support Group Manchester (ALSG).

Major Incident Medical Management and Support
(HMIMMS-the Hospital Version)

The Hospital Major Incident Medical Management and Support (HMIMMS) is a leading 2 day training course designed for senior hospital staff that may be called upon to plan or manage a major emergency / incident within their hospital. The course addresses practical issues using table top exercises, lectures and discussion involving members of the hospital’s Major Incident Group. As the only international standard in major incident medical management, the course is taught and the principles are practiced throughout the world.

Paediatric Advanced Life Support

Advanced Paediatric Life Support (APLS), Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Paediatric Emergencies Assessment Recognition and Stabilisation (PEARS) courses equip healthcare professionals with the knowledge and skills to recognise and manage children, infants and neonates with medical and traumatic emergencies. Courses are delivered by front-line healthcare professionals from ED, Paediatric Anaesthesia, critical care nursing and resuscitation-training, who regularly train and carry out these skills. They are regarded as experts in their field and have a proven ability to teach. CPD/CEU credits available for all courses.These courses are accredited by the American Heart Association and the Advanced Life Support Group Manchester (ALSG).
